15 hours

I’m going to have to get mobile interweb, aint looked at this since last week! i used to think you could have a long break after a fifteen, if i’ve done a fifteen and feel particularly tatered i still do, but i know it only counts as a reduced break!

You can
correct again

I know Rog, it came up in the training we had to do at Widdowsons, for my three month stint! :imp:

I’m amazed at how many people say this to me, “oh yeah, i did a 15 but i had 11 hours off!”

So the new 26 hour day is in full swing then!!!

Its just daft, people either see it as a 13 hour/15 hour day or 9/11 off, they never see it as a full 24 hour picture!

And my 2 pennies worth on the initial debate is if u want to throw Euro legislation of WTD at ur boss get a job in the local Library!

I am quite upset that my quotes have no relation to this subject. especially when someone argues with the law.

I try to help new drivers on these forums, not fill their heads with myths.

@Wheelnut , some people, they just can not except
the fact that Others are more knowledgeable, That,s
a shame , and stuff ,em. There,s one born every minute
they do say.,

I would bother about it Wheel nut

It was after all your quote that showed the relevance of the 24 hour period and eventually brought that part of the discussion to it’s final conclusion

Yep, it is a bit strange. Why are they only working 13 or 15 hours I wonder? There is nothing in the regulations which states the maximum amount of time you can work in the shift, only the amount of rest required in the 24-hour period. It seems they correctly only work 13 or 15 hours because of the amount of rest required but then often ignore that by thinking they have taken a full daily rest period after working more than 13 hours.

There’s nothing strange about it all. It seems to be the norm that no one has a clue !!! Drivers getting it wrong, employers counting 9 hours and four minutes as 8 hours 59 mins.!! You can’t win !!
