as fleet operators /owner operators whats your view on 2010 are you happy to keep going or do you feel like throwing the towel in.reason in asking ive two tractor units on 03 plates parked at home they havent worked now for at least 6 months if i sell they worth not alot but if i hang on i could go back to work they are bought and paid for with no tax etc so the only thing affecting them is depreciation at mo
you views appreciated please and before im asked i do love trucks mad i know.
if they are bought and paid for, as you say, you might aswell hold on to them in the hope of finding work in the new year, they are not costing you anything, and at the moment, they will not be worth that much, whereas, in the new year, the value can go up if/when we come out of this recession and people actually start buying trucks again
thanks for your views shuttle much appreciated.
If you don’t need the cash ■■■■■■■ in them, leave em be, the moneys probably safer invested in trucks than earning sweet FA in a bank.
Merry Christmas
@sammydog the tide is turning and you may find next year
is one where UK transport rises ,do some hard research
as work is there but those who have it do not advertise
all ways, keep at as long as you can with out ruining yourself
The big firms can not all ways do the job as good as a
small one or owner driver, who has good employees working
for them,
I’m in the same boat as you with 2 working and one parked up. The one parked up is a fancy dan, all singing and dancing Scanny V8 though with 2 wendy houses still earning. Had her since new, 3 years past. Will break my heart to sell her but can’t face putting her on ■■■■■ work.
