Driving hours question

Postby LK57 EJN » Wed Jun 29, 2022 9:22 am

Hi all, this may be a stupid question but as always I’ve had mixed answers from
everyone I’ve asked. I’m currently a full time Bus driver that does occasional Tacho work.

If for example I worked as followed would I be legal? Would I have to do manual charts for the week of hgv training as other work or would it be rest as technically it’s not a job it’s something I’m doing in my free time ?

Monday EU job
Tuesday Rest
Wednesday Rest
Thursday Rest
Friday Domestic job
Sat Domestic job
Sun domestic job
Monday HGV Training
Tuesday HGV Training
Wednesday HGV Training
Thursday HGV Training
Friday HGV Training
Sat Rest
Sun Rest

LGV training paid for by you in your own time = rest so that lot is legal

My answer assumed that you are doing the training with a training school :?:
