Diabetic retinopathy/macular degeneration

Hi there I have applied for my HGV provisional licence. My ophthalmology consultant says that my eye reading is 370 and if it reaches 400 they would give me injections. I’m not quite sure what these numbers mean but I’m wondering if anyone else has had this and would it mean I wouldn’t be allowed to drive HGV? Thanks

So long as you can pass the eye test you are ok
AMD in one eye or both ?
Sight requirement is on med form look up on line

Quick look at the DVLA notifiable list shows both diabeties and MD, you might want to directly ask the surgeon the question of if you need to notify, but ultimately it’s your responsibility to notify DVLA and for them to review and make a decision.
