I bet in April it will all be day rates on hgv’s due to this new minimum wage guff to avoid giving drivers a fair wage! .
Never understand why, when a driver asks for ‘nightwork’ they expect to be paid a premium rate. If my boss asked me to do ‘nightwork’ then yes I would expect extra but not if I requested it-especially when in the main you prefer ‘nightwork’ 'cos there’s not as much traffic, it’s usually drop and swap, I can get my head down whilst they tip me etc etc.
