I doubt any driver will be out of a job as the number of lorries, journeys and drivers wouldn’t be affected - what will instead happen is the rate for those tedious Motorway sections of your journey will be paid at a lower rate as you won’t actually be doing anything other than remaining alert/available to take over if needed.
