Believe you me RR, you definitely did the right thing getting the vaccine. 100% sure about that and there is plenty credible evidence to prove it.
I am just amazed you don’t know anyone who has been extremely ill especially anyone unvaccinated.With all due respect Jake that does not make me feel any different, your ‘‘100% sure’’ is only based on what you have read, what you have heard,.and what you CHOOSE to believe, much the same as everyone else on either side of the coin.
In real terms you know as much it as little about it as the next lay man., including and especially me.
The only ‘extremely ill’ ones I know are as far as I recall were those that have had some serious condition or another alongside the Covid.
I know of at least 2 guys, both drivers in fact, and both ex military if that has any bearing, non vaccinated that have contacted it but suffered nothing more than a cold in varying degrees of severity.
I go by what my daughter who is a nurse on a COVID ward at a hospital , my sister who is a nurse at a hospital & my wife who works at a hospital say rob , they all drum it into me how serious it is & how as I’m deemed to be at risk I must take all precautions , masks / hand washing etc etc
I’d take people who are dealing with COVID day in / day outs advice than anyone on here’s ,
Like every thing in life 99% will be fine I’ve no doubt , but my family / me don’t want to be one of the 1 % or whatever it is who aren’t
Nb the scientist / one of the posters on here / or the bloke on the street won’t be anywhere to be seen if you end up seriously I’ll , it’ll just be you’re family there , kids , grandkids etc at your bedside ,and if the worst did happen at your funeral
All for a few needles in your arm ( I stick needles / pins in me every day ) so it’s no big deal , and a mask is no different to the requirement of wearing Ppe
I’ll continue to take all precautions until my girl / sister / mrs tell me I’m fine not too NB rob , you say it’s only people with pre-existing conditions , how do you know you haven’t got any , until I had a blood test I didn’t know I had a heart murmur, high blood pressure , bad circulation etc ( I did have suspicions of diabetis though )
