There is no reversing manoeuvre exercise or coupling and uncoupling not to mention the fact someone can now go from a 1.0 litre car to a 44 tonne wagon with nothing in between, so yes I’d say that the standard of new drivers is going to change dramatically for the worse.
As for the other comment I think you’re bang on about them chasing the dollar rather than doing it for the love of driving. I took my test 19 years ago when I was 21 as that was what I wanted to do and still do as a career.
