I am with you Rob. I left Unite after they were next to useless. I was working on coaches back then.Those of you who know Bristol by Cabot Shopping centre there is a red light camera. Coming from the Bond Street headed towards London the traffic light changed when i was by the line i drove through it flashed. I was suspended jumping a red light is a gross misconduct. I went to the union they just told me to take the points and fine. I refused and filled in the form and requested a court hearing. The letter stated the light had been red for 1.2seconds when i drove through. The company refused to even lend me a coach to take to court. I had to argue my case alone and the magistrate agreed with my answer. If i had stopped where i was i would have blocked the junction and sent passengers flying 78 on board at the time. The case was dismissed. The traffic light sequence has since been changed now. I left the union straight away.
