Rest days

Hi all sorry I ve just got a simple legal question about split rests.

Got new 2 week rotas at work and some colleagues already having a hissy fit over it

Week 1

IN IN REST IN IN IN REST

Week 2

IN IN IN IN REST REST IN

Would that be legal I think yes

Please advice before all running to union
and representatives giving our reputation a kick

Many thanks

Yep as long as your total fortnightly hours ain’t over 144

Sent while in furlough

:arrow_right: Thanks

It depends on the hours you work but if that’s a regular shift pattern you could possibly have a problem paying back the compensation for the reduced weekly rest period.

Like I say it depends on what hours you work so you could be OK for paying back the compensation but it is something you need to think about.

Total fortnightly hours not over 144, why ?

45 hrs per week normally

Sometimes few hrs overtime but fortnightly not exceeding 100

Good day all,
I have almost the same question. I have been out for a long time and my time of driving was still with disks.
Now I’m due to start on a project in Denmark. The idea is to work 3 weeks and go home for one week. When I start on Monday am I right to think I must make a 45h rest the first weekend. And then the second I can cut it to 37 hours.? After the third week of work I will go home so there is enough compensation.
We will work 6 days a week 10h a day starting the Monday’s.
So in short:
60h week - 45h weekend- 60h week - 37h weekend- 60h week - week at home.

So the first weekend I need to stop at Sa 12:00h so I can start at Mo 09:00 (45h)
Second weekend I can work till Sa 18:00 and start at Mo 07:00. (37h)
Week at home is 205 hours

Average working is then 180h in 4 weeks so 45h p week.

Please advise if I’m thinking the right way here.
The whole new tacho is a bit fuzzy
Thanks Ray
