No, not least of all because any modification to a vehicle not communicated to an insurer can invalidate the insurance;
but if you have an old vehicle where the limiter was not fitted as standard, you can be, (or at least used to be), exempt from the reduced speed limit. Last time I was offered a job on an unlimited 7.5 tonner was about 2008, so I’m not sure if you’ll find that type of thing still in existence.
