Competitions and prize draws: general terms and conditions
These basic terms and conditions apply to all competitions organised or promoted by DVV Media International, whether alone or in partnership with any other entity. Such competitions may be promoted in any printed or online product, or at any event, of DVV Media International and any partner.
They should be read in conjunction with the details published in any competition promotional material and any supplementary terms and conditions detailed below.
All entries must contain valid contact details as requested in order that winners can be easily contacted. If any winners cannot be contacted, their prizes will be reallocated.
There is a limit of one entry per person. Where the competition requires entries to be submitted on pages from a printed product, photocopied entries will be accepted.
The closing date of the competition will be at midday on the date specified. Any entries received after the closing date will not be entered into the competition.
Unless otherwise specified, entries may be sent by e-mail to competitions@roadtransport.com, or by post to DVV Media International Ltd, Sixth Floor, Chancery House, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, SM1 1JB. E-mailed entries must be clearly identified with the competition name as the subject line, and on the outside of the envelope of postal entries.
The competition is open to UK residents, excluding any employees of DVV Media International and any sponsoring company, or their immediate family.
No purchase is necessary, except where specified.
DVV Media International shall not be held responsible for technical errors – in telecommunication networks, internet access or otherwise – preventing entry to the competition.
DVV Media International will not accept responsibility for entries lost, delayed, misdirected, damaged, illegible or undelivered.
The winners' names will be published at the time and location specified. Unsuccessful entrants will not be notified but will be entitled to request details of the winners by writing to DVV Media International.
Prizes are non-refundable, non-exchangeable and non-transferable. No cash alternative is available.
The judge will be the editor of the promoting title, in conjunction with the representative(s) of any partner. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
By entering the competition, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Any entrant and/or participant who has provided false or misleading information and/or has breached these terms and conditions will be immediately disqualified from the competition. The promoter reserves the right to withhold any prize under this clause.
If any of the clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforcable, then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
The promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend the competition at any time without notice.
Acceptance of any prize constitutes consent for DVV Media International and any sponsoring company to use the winners’ names for editorial or publicity purposes in perpetuity.
The competition shall be governed and construed and have effect in all respects in accordance with English law, and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any proceedings arising out of or in connection with it.
