i am looking to book myself on a Allmi hiab clam-shell course
just wondered how easy this course / test is to pass?

You don’t fail these kind of assessments, unless you’re being dangerous or reckless. It’s the instructors job to make sure you’re trained to pass.
ALLMI might be the biggest name in lorry mounted crane training (Hiab is just a brand name) but it isn’t regulated by an official awarding body overseen by the authorities, not like haulage industry qualifications administered by CILT, SAEG, SQA etc.
The qualification on its own is worth very little without the experience to back it up.
