I was advised when I started (September so before the changes) not to book class 1 until I had passed my class 2 regardless of any special offers available, and that was by the boss of my training company. So personally I don’t think back to back was ever a good idea & definitely not now.
Yes you may have been short changed, but the mistake was made at the start.
