As a newbie also training up, I also had the same questions in my mind.So, where would one use a retarder? Coming down on M62 from saddlworth towards Manchester? Would that be a spot for an artic to be using the retarder?
I do just that every night on that stretch, that way, you don’t get brake fade on the service brakes, and lose control.
