Passed my Class 2 yesterday first time with PSTT after over 5 years of saying I was going to do it, feels great to finally have got my back side in gear and taken the test.
I’ll be honest and I’ve mentioned it in posts before, I don’t particularly have a huge interest in being a HGV driver, it’s just part and parcel of what I want to do - breakdown recovery.
I’m heavily into cars and the mechanical side of it as a hobby, and have a diploma in agricultural engineering, always loved the idea moreso of the physical recovery side of the industry.
I’ve sent a few emails to local firms and will give them a call in the week but just keen to hear if any new class 2 drivers have managed to get straight into recovery and if so, any tips?
I know recovery isn’t the best money before anyone mentions it, I noticed that straight away but it’s more about doing something I want to do rather than finding where the most money is.
