New to tramping

Hiya,

I’m due to start working from my van in a couple of weeks. I’ve never slept on the road for a long period of time so I’m just wondering if anyone has any advice for me? I’d also like to know of any safe spots to sleep for the night, anywhere to avoid and anything I could buy which would make the experience as pleasurable as possible? Any good advice is appreciated.

But you should only sleep in your van if it has a bunk fitted btw not like a few years back when you slept across the seats :blush:

There are some good spots for sleeping I normally use the industrial est or some layby that I feel safe in

A strong sports bag to haul all the kit needed.
Washing up bowl for shaving, mirror, camping gas cooker, tins of food.
Powdered milk for tea or coffee.
Basic medicine/first aid kit.
Diarrhea pills,rehydration powder sachets.
Sign up to Snap, where parking is on account, just drive in, pay later.
A Tv is a must on nights out,some satnavs have built in Tv,s.
Spare clothing in case of getting rained on.
Battery jump start cables.
