I passed C+E in 1995 in the RM. I have done some agency work class 2 turn of the century. Dropped out of driving due to other work/life commitments. Have recently passed medical being over 45. Signed up with Agency & done van & car driving due to no CPC. On 4th CPC now obviously with one to do for that full DQC.
Intend in a few months to get back into class one after doing some class 2 beforehand with Agency. Also intend to return full-time to driving ditching current career. Had 2 jobs in the past 36 years or so.
Anyone got any tips for a returning driver as a career in the driving industry?
Equipment like Satnavs etc. Watched lots of YouTube vids.

Nights, days, swing shifts?
Shop deliveries, heavy plant, farms, ind-ests, food, hazardous, motorways, city streets, country lanes?
Operate lorry cranes, forklifts, tippers, tankers, sleep on bunk whilst unloading?
Its all there in various combinations, depending on your base area a bit. As a new returnee you wont be offered all of those jobs on day one, but thinking where you want to aim for, is a step in the right direction.
