Recently applying for operator licence.
Found operating centre where can fit unit only.
I’m planning to do traction work only so won’t have my own trailer at begging so don’t even plan to apply for authorization for trailer, want to do unit only.
Can I do that or if I want to pull someone’s trailer need to have authorization as well?

If you do t have at least one trailer on the O licence, you can’t have one on the back of the tractor unit, regardless of how you’re paid (traction only).
Are you sure you understand the O licence system enough to be a compliant operator
Where will you park the truck and trailer, even if the trailer isn’t yours, when not in use? When you get a visit from DVSA, being a new operator, they will want to see enough room for all vehicles on your licence.
