my interpretation of shifts was a max of 6 from sunday 00.01 to the following sunday 24.00, now some one has put doubt in my mind saying if the shifts are short more shifts can be added, i have also read on here (only glanced at it as sometimes it gets a bit heavy) that moving shifts around can be done, help would be appreciated.
Simple answer is as many shifts as you can legally fit within 144 hours. On a different thread I demonstrated with ridiculously short shifts (that would never happen in the real world) it was theoretically possible to do in excess of 10 or so shifts within that timeframe.
The words SHIFTS and DAYS are not mentioned in the regs for this reason
The regs go on hours only such as max 144 between weekly rests and so many hours off in a certain time frame
