Pegasus Bridge Closed

As title
actu.fr/normandie/benouville_14 … 23260.html
Closed Monday. No opening date nor other details yet.
Viaduct periph North still closed.
Pont Coulommiers 7.5t limit.
So, long trip around Caen it seems.

And…the road is open again.
Seems some cables were damaged during a routine raising for shipping passage. Further repairs will be needed sometime, but ok for now.
If only the Viaduct Calix could be sorted as quickly.

Brittany website says end of October for the reopening of the viaduct but French news says mid November . Depends on the repairs.
Probably better it doesn’t fall down though.
Lots of 135 euro fines being issued to drivers failing to obey the closure to hgvs.

Pegasus bridge is at Benouville near Ouistreham and is in no way part of the diversion route
because of the closure of the Calyx viaduct, (which may be closed to HGV’s till 2022 I’ve heard).
You have 2 choices, either go round the south rocade, (a long detour I know)
or you take the D226 using the Pont Colombelles, which links the port area to the Ouistreham route

Signs, yellow ones “DEV 2”, do certainly route you over the Pegasus bridge from the A13 near Mondeville. The pont Colombelles is 7.5t limit. The Pegasus is also used by some Convoi Exceptionale sand has no weight limit signed.

yep ok I concede, but there was a period where the weight limit had been removed on the Colombelle bridge,
