ADR counts towards cpc?

The amount of hours you can get towards CPC depends on a couple of things.

Is the provider a registered Driver CPC centre/provider?

YES: You will be able to get up to 21 hours (Packs only) or 28 hours (Tanks & Packs) depending on the modules that the provider has approval for. They should know if you ask them - if they don’t, they are probably a broker and you should avoid like the plague.

NO: Even if the provider is not registered to provide Driver CPC training, if you sit an ADR course now you can now apply to DVSA directly to have 14 hours added to your record. You’ll need details of your training and will have to pay the £17.50 upload fees direct to DVSA (call them on 0300 123 7721).

The National Dangerous Goods Training Consortium (NDGTC) have a Tanker Awareness module approved which allows you to get the full 28 hours CPC with a Tanks & Packs course - details of providers here: www.ndgtc.co.uk/index.php/members/map/
