Written record on tacho paper

Come on then let’s see who can help me work this out. Not something I generally have to do as 99% of the time I get no infringements on my card with only the occasional ■■■■ up when doing manual entries which usually I do manual entries fine without issues. I get the premise of writing manual entries down but am obviously being a dumb at the moment.

If I worked days and never crossed midnight I fear it would be a lot easier to get it right in my head and stick it down and would seem quite simple. It is wholly the working on 2 different dates that makes me [emoji2962]

So Monday night 20th on tacho driving

EDR 1700
SD 1700
Breaks on tacho
ES 0225
SDR 0230

Here is where I cocked up my manual entry.

21st Tues

DR 0230 til 1700

Shunting in yard

EDR 1700
SD 1700
OW 2300
Break til 0000
OW 0500

Manual entry for 21st and 22nd daily rest and working periods fine from manual entry.

So I need a print out that shows my correct activities for the 21st starting at 1700 and finishing at 0500. Now if it didn’t cross midnight I could easily do a written entry. It’s the crossing midnight bit that confuses me as to what I need to do.

Anyone able to show how they would record this manually on tacho paper?

And tbh I still don’t get why tachomaster shows no infringement for daily rest yet the tacho does.

If any of that makes any sense.

Correct entries on tachomaster shown in pic 1 and pic 2 is the errors I had to correct in tachomaster.

If that helps anyone.

Funny thing is I remember going on tacho to input 5 mins other work so finishing 0230 and then my daily rest and start time etc. And as I said I managed it perfectly fine for the following day, so I still don’t know how I cocked it up.

The only other thing is the finish data from the 20th was on my old tacho card and I did not drive for 2 days when my old card expired, I used my new card on Thurs the 23rd and went back to the 20th to close my last shift off, and the add manual entries for Tues and wed.

Could this be where the issue lies?

Does that help?

It would be…

Easier to learn how to fly a jumbo jet whilst mixing pancake batter than decipher that lot.

Does that help by removing all data on Mondays download. The start and finish times only apply on Monday.

The day I cocked up my manual entry was Tues, wed manual entry was fine.

2 smaller size images compressing the image sizes when uploading them makes the smallest size totally unreadable mind.

This is what I see.

Actually the screenshot isn’t a proper representation. What I actually see is one third of that without scrolling. The screenshot has shrunk it to a manageable size

Ah I use Tapatalk to view the forum so it shows it in my decide as an actual image. Not embedded in the webpage as you view it.

Well after having a ridiculous senior moment I figured it all out including doing a written record on tacho print out paper. No idea why I was making it so difficult to work out how to do it. Then again not having to do it very often you question whether you are doing it right or not.

Also the reason I had the issue was old card Vs new card. Old card had expired and new card was valid at midnight.

Because I wasn’t driving I did manual entries on new card to try to close off the previous shift etc, and then do manual entries for the rest of the shift. But the new card would only accept data from midnight so that is why it only showed 5 hours work for that night from midnight. You can’t add older data to a new card before it’s valid date.

So yeah was having a right old moment.
