anyone notice how all the 4 lanes motorways are in bad state.finding lane 1 of most having a fair amount of pot holes or ruts forming.its like they have not prep them properly while upgrade them.m6 from jct19 is bad in some places even seen it on m1 to.all that money spent and they can not get it right first time

it used to be a hard shoulder so probably not as robust as the rest of the lanes as it wasn’t meant to be carrying active traffic (I don’t know for sure just my theory)
