ADR cource with online test and results

Anyone know training providers who make course with online test and result. In most school must wait about 2 month for result, after some number of week for card.

My understanding is that you can study using an online class, but exam has to be sat in classroom.

Hi Andrejs,

ADR course tuition can be done remotely, but the the ADR exams MUST be taken at a premises approved by SQA.

At the approved premises, the exams can be taken online (NOT remotely) or on paper. This is the ADR provider’s choice.

I can’t tell from your question, but if you meant the whole course and exams taken remotely, the the answer is NO.

If you want the contact details for an ADR provider who offers what you’re asking for, then it would be helpful if you said whereabouts in the country you are and your preferred travelling distance. :bulb:

Another question.Last year ADR was extended till 30/11/2021 if expired between March and November 2021.No more extension now?I live in Rugby, can travel some 50 miles or more for training.Last time i get trainiong from JCOATES in leicester. But they still have exams in paper and need wait long time for result.

There is a company advertising online testing, but it is dated 2017 so not sure if they still do (or if they’re actually allowed to?). I have no knowledge of the company reputation etc, so don’t shoot the messenger - just found it on a Google search. They’re called specialisttraining and this is an excerpt from their website:

“We are very pleased to announce we have gained approval to run online exams for the ADR course with our first exams taking place on Thursday 16th February 2017.

One of the main benefits of doing the ADR exams online is the results are available IMMEDIATELY after the last exam has been completed by all the candidates.”

That is, I think, consistent with what Dave is saying.
The testing is done “on line”, but “not remotely”.
The students must still go to the training/exam centre, but sit at a computer rather than fill in paper exam forms.
.
I’m sure he’ll be along to clarify.

South East Transport Training in Aylesbury does the online test and instant result that you’re looking for.

100% correct, and…

I’m sure he’ll be along to clarify.

Dave’s a really busy guy so I’m quite certain he wouldn’t mind me saying that there’s no need to wait for him to verify this, other ADR instructors and DGSA’s are also available

There’s no directory of ADR providers, so your options are to contact all the providers within your travel radius and inquire about their exam provision, meanwhile if you can be bothered with the narcissism of Linked In, you could inquire on the British Association of Dangerous Goods Professionals forum.
It’s not a great forum but it might save you a little bit of time.

EDIT: also ask about their tanks module, whether they have or have not had it approved for DCPC. If they have, you should be able to get 28 of your 35 hours from your ADR.

I’ll stand by my answer to Andrejs in my post above.

For absolute clarity…

An ADR course may be delivered remotely (eg; by Zoom) but the exams MUST be taken at an SQA approved premises AND be invigilated.

The exams (taken at an SQA approved premises  ) may be either online OR on paper.

The current option of taking ADR course tuition remotely is about to be authorised by DfT Authorisation number 992 and will end on 30/06/2022 unless the DfT ends it earlier.

DfT Authorisation 992
I view this as an extension to the present ‘remote’ authority.

I can offer that there is a list of SQA approved ADR course providers available as a spreadsheet, which can be accessed for download from the DGDT site.

Amongst other things, the list says which providers are approved for remote ADR course delivery, but doesn’t say which providers offer online exams at their SQA approved premises.

I’d totally forgotten about that, but then again I wasn’t sure if it was publicly accessible
dgdrivertraining.org.uk/DGDT/Tr … -providers

I honestly don’t think doing the training remotely is anywhere near as good an experience as doing it in person, people don’t generally absorb information as well when just looking at a screen.

However, the computer-based exams are a massive plus point. Just so prospective candidates are aware, there’s no sneaking away from the exam site to Google answers: exams are always invigilated.

Found who this company do training with online tests. Will try contact to him about all detail.clarketransport.co.uk/drive … raining_19

Andrejs:

For all…

The years I drove in Europe, I always called the currency of the country I was in at the time by it’s proper name. In Spain it was pesetas, France it was francs and so on. I’m sure the Spanish and French have nicknames for their currency but I never knew what they were.
I’m surprised that you use such a familiar English term when you struggle so hard with English… apparently.
