Bone Shaker:
Not sure why the M3 hasn’t been extended all the way to Taunton or Exeter to get rid of the A303 with its single to dual carriageways then the pinch points in the little hamlets that slow it all down to a crawl? With a fast and direct link from London to Exeter it would benefit the local economies all along the route as pit stops , hotels and better facilities could be built by exiting the new motorway or construct them on it.
It would improve journey times from London to Devon and Cornwall.
If a capital city and a major tourist destination was in Europe they would have built a motorway link 50 years ago but not in old Blighty where we are literally 50 years behind the times and so slow with everything.
Other countries have had their high speed trains since the 60’s in Japan with their bullet train, and France with TGV, Spain with AVE with their excellent reliability and on time service.
A bus boulevard in Swindon is supposed to take two years at a cost of 33 million, it will now be delayed due to the discovery of underground pipes and cables , this will increase the cost and delay the works.
The new project won’t have precipitation protection for passengers, no taxi rank and buses won’t be stopping there but you will get some new trees to look at.
A new railway bridge in Bradford on Avon, expected to take five months but now a year due to the weather, the wrong pour of concrete.
We are rubbish at everything in this country.
The only rubbish is what you or your alias spouts TOBY or your new transgender alias
The M3 goes from London to Southampton so please tell how is it possible to extend it west
