Is it possible the car was not visible to the truck, seems like a bright day too?You have to know what’s there. If you can’t see to go, you don’t go. As ezydriver above said: you wouldn’t get away with it on your test.
There are blind spots in most trucks,
A blind spot is not an excuse though. Driver’s responsibility to check it before moving anywhere as I’m sure you know.
