I did quite a few night trunks to the Palleforce depot at Fradley and then Derby after they moved. Since our depot was pretty local, about 1½ hours, it was easy to drive up, get tipped and then rest nine hours before loading in the morning.
Of course, being early meant that I got a prime ■■■■■■■■■■■■, well away from the noisy places.
