Mixed feelings,.sure the name is offensive, but only if judged by todays standards.
If there was some kind of moral guilt, surely a plaque explaining the different standards and attitudes of different times, seeing as the subject matter is/was a well known aspect of an heroic event in our country in the fight against Nazism, the monument should have been preserved, not deleted from history.A woke [zb] complained about a dogs grave up Coombe abbey and they eventually removed it, it was there for over a hundred years,the complainant was a white far left ■■■.
