Fords geofencing telematics

Ford is trialing a new geofencing technology to prevent vehicles speeding in urban areas. “The technology creates a virtual area where vehicles slow down, rather than relying on drivers spotting signs that may be on unfamiliar routes, or overgrown” That will upset white transit van man in the not to distant future. It says it can be overridden for now but they ain’t spending all this money so Jonny speed pants can override it. :astonished: commercialfleet.org/news/va … icle-speed

Good , save me paying about £90 & having to travel to Lincoln & sit in a classroom on a sat & get preached to

Should be interesting on a motorway when the temporary speed signals come into action.
While your vehicle may have that tech, very few other vehicles will for quite a while so when the signs suddenly come on several miles from the actual problem (accident, roadworks etc), you’ll be a rolling roadblock for some.
(Assuming they don’t redesign your rear end first)
