Simulated nuclear attack on UK

Did anybody catch this the other day from Russian state TV about a simulated nuclear attack on the British isles? Saying it could be deleted from the map in 202 seconds :open_mouth:

Russian State TV ?
Obviously you are the one supping gov koolaid (sic)…trucknetuk.com/phpBB/search … 0for%20you. And what a gov!

Doubtless, a large scale nuclear attack on the UK, or anywhere else for that matter, would be rather bad news for us and for many others; indeed an attack of that size would be bloody bad news for Russia too! Been that way for half a century or more. Can`t see any reason at all for it to come as a shock :open_mouth: to anyone.

I read the good the bad & the ugly with a VPN, It’s their reply to our blonde clowns threats so I take everything with a pinch of salt from both sides.

I meet people on a regular basis who are seemingly â– â– â– â– â– â–  off and angry at life in general. The prospect of imminent nuclear Armageddon is surely a very good reason why one should live, laugh and love at every opportunity.

It’s obvious that Russia’s strategic nuke cabability is sufficient to wipe the UK off the map with enough in reserve for the US.
Not so NATOs pathetic inventory since the SALT treaties etc in the case of making Russia’s massive landmass an uninhabitable
wasteland.
Every logical solution says that nuking the UK will be the only option to meet Russia’s aims of getting NATO away from its western borders and out of its buffers.
So they are betting Russia’s massive landmass against the UKs small Island in a strategic nuke exchange and that the US won’t want to escalate after that and the US holds the launch codes of our Tridents anyway in that regard.
Only blind fools like Boris and Wallace would bet the farm on Russia backing down in that regard holding those cards.
At least without a clear statement from Biden that the US will carry out an all out MAD nuke exchange on Russia if Russia makes the slightest move.Good luck waiting for that.
Basically we’re a sitting duck being led by idiots.

The whole premise of Yalta etc was that we weren’t prepared to bet the farm on kicking Russia out of the East Euro buffers and moving NATO into them.
What changed in that regard bearing in mind that Russia pulled out of them anyway.
Unfortunately for us Russia’s bet is clearly that the US isn’t going to take a nuke attack in retaliation for us and by implication the US holds the launch codes of our nukes.
Boris’ move.NATO backs down.
Or the UK is toast and history.Russia is betting that the US will make a deal at that point it won’t trade/throw the US homeland after us.
Do you feel lucky in that regard.I don’t.I felt that the country was a lot safer than this during the height of the Cold War.Even JFK had to and was prepared to offer Kruschev a carrot and a way out to sell to his generals.

^^ yup.

And surely the last 2.5 years of operation fear must have taught even the most obediant that the media our politicians and govt, and those who own them, cannot be trusted.

Ignore the bloody lot of them, cancel the telly licence and whatever susbscriptions to Pleb Brainwashing Corp one has, keep those who would be right at home in a black uniform and jackboots at arms length, and renew the ties of the simple and free things in life, lovers family trusted friends and especially dogs.

It’s gone past an issue of trust. This is all about the bleedin serious question of Boris’ and Wallace’s logic.
War with Russia is the simple choice between Mutually Assured Destruction or lose and we don’t have enough nukes to wipe a landmass the size of Russia off the map even if we had the launch codes.
So UK gone then what’s Biden gonna do.Launch the US nuke arsenal or cut a deal.
Bearing in mind that it’s Russia’s call.

The idea that the USA holds all the launch codes for Trident is for the brain dead.

At its simplest - just for you Carryfast - why would the UK invest billions in a weapon that ultimately it couldn’t use independently?

The problem for your argument is that you’ve got to convince Russia not me that although the US supplies us with the Trident system we conveniently delete the permissive action link needed to launch them
Which means that America is willing to be wiped out in retaliation for a UK limited strike.
Good luck with that premise.
In which case why doesn’t the US clearly state that a nuclear attack on UK means a US mutually assured destruction response and what is the point of all the bs conventional NATO sabre rattling on Russia’s borders ( containment strategy ).
Bearing in mind that you can’t even convince me let alone Russia in that regard.
Russia clearly thinks that it can win a nuclear war against UK with good reason.Even if you are correct our nukes alone aren’t sufficient to take out enough of Russia to be a viable deterrent.
