Asylum seekers off to Rwanda

I see all the young men of fighting age (who are really doctors,.solicitors, and teachers who enhance our country, and not potential terrorists and/or economic migrants) are being flown off eh,.after they enter our country illegally.
How will we cope without the qualities and richness they are said to bring with them. :open_mouth:
At least all the lefty bleeding hearts are kicking off about it which makes it even more amusing.
Deffo a business opportunity here for anybody who wants to turn to the trafficking game,.and provide 10 bob inflatable dinghies back to France for 5k a pop.

This is going to upset a lot of liberal minded people

On the news last night Kier Starmer said it was a terrible plan but didn’t say what Labours plan is to deal with illegal immigrants, but of course we know that Labours plan is to let them all in and house them in hotels until they’re given UK citizenship :unamused:

Absolutely correct, Starmer the champagne socialist and his pathetic Labour cronies are completely at odds with what the vast majority of people (particularly working class) think about the uncontrolled illegal immigrants landing on our shores and being giving accommodation and money on arrival which doesn’t happen in France, I think Labour have just dashed any slight hope of winning the next general election.

Some talking head was on the news today bleating about the cost of sending II’s to Rwanda. He said that it would be cheaper to house them permanently in The Savoy. He probably had a very valid point tbh, but completely missed the fact that once these deportations start happening the word will soon spread amongst the other chancers waiting to milk our country. To me it’s a sound investment.

Whilst I think sending the dinghy invaders to Rwanda is a good idea and in tune with what the silenced majority (that’s not a spelling mistake btw[emoji6])of the population would like, it’ll probably never happen, the reason being it’s been rushed out purely as a diversionary tactic to change the headlines away from “Partygate” and the unprecedented fining of a sitting Prime Minister for breaking his own rules. It’s obviously worked as planned and given him breathing space until the next scandal hits

I saw something earlier about Tony Blair suggesting something similar in 2004 but with Tanzania instead of Rwanda, I haven’t verified it yet but if true then Starmer can’t really complain.

Whilst its a good headline, and if it ever came to pass in any meaningful numbers would make an impact on those handing over dosh to the modern day equivalent of slavers to get them here, sadly though i suspect a diversionary temporary headline is all it will prove to be.

A handful of the thousands will get transported at massive cost, but with the usual virtue signallers having palpitations in the media to enhance their reputations this will probably end up another hyped up complete failure.

Nigel Farage’s YouTube comment on this, is that the major flaw in this idea is that we have not yet withdrawn from the EU convention on human rights.
Until the government replaces this with our own human rights legislation the plan will be shot down by the EU courts, which we are still bound by.

I won’t hold my breath till Boris (or anyone else) grows the backbone to really set us free from the EU.
Note also that the ‘green’ obsessed powers that be are adopting speed-limited cars, to stay in line with the EU, backed by the car manufacturers.
It would cost a few pence to offer cars with the limiter disabled for sale in the UK and elsewhere while leaving it active for EU use.

120 000 000 pounds to be paid to Rwanda, when the scheme is launched and an undisclosed sum for each migrant sent, without the necessary legal framework put in place by the commons or ratified by the house of lords yet.
Not a good use of taxpayers money.

It isn’t the EU convention

The ECHR predates the EU by decades and British military lawyers largely drafted the ■■■■■■■ thing

Of course they are,.and guess what?
It will never get off the ground. :unamused:

Mustn’t be seen to be taking a hard line approach on anything,
that would never do.
Ain’t you heard that the lefties rule the roost in the UK,.and the opinion and views of the majority count for nothing.

Truth be known nobody knows what’s best
The Brexit vote was for this reason, keep them out stop them bleeding the country and on top of that you have this other thing going on in Russia, who gives a hoot what happens there, there have been wars all over Europe and nobody gave a fig before and now we all care, there is something that Europe wants in this country that we do not know about, expect your rates to go down again, cheap labour is coming back
Going back to old ways would sort it, send them to the middle of nowhere

Have you seen all the weeping lefties on the news., telling us how wrong and unfair it is sending economic migrants to Rwandah,.telling us they are fleeing for their lives and have been ‘‘betrayed’’ by the UK
fleeing for their lives?
what, from France?
Looks very likely that the minority is going to oversee the views of the majority here as usual.
It just takes one full plane load to be sent over and there you have the deterrent, :bulb: if it had not been too far away,. I personally would rock up to wave them off.
Maybe there should be a democratic vote on this, second thoughts maybe not, as the trend seems to be if the minority don’t get their way,

Well you know what happens :unamused:

I don`t know much about this, but I think you have a couple of errors there.
It is refugees who are being deported, not economic migrants.*
“b. “Asylum seeker” means a person seeking to be recognised as a refugee in accordance with the Refugee Convention or otherwise claiming protection on humanitarian or human rights grounds”

The target is for ■■? a year to go there, at a cost of £120m, plus an amount per head sent
According to UNHCR statistics, as of mid-2021 there were 135,912 refugees, 83,489 pending asylum cases and 3,968 stateless persons in the UK.
How many people do we grant asylum or protection to? gov.uk â€ș government â€ș statistics â€ș how-ma

Mar 3, 2022 — There were 48,540 asylum applications (relating to 56,495 people) in the UK in 2021.

So, ■■? out of 50,000 will go? Are you a betting man? If you were prepared to risk getting in an old dinghy for instance, would you fancy giving it a go? Those who pay to risk their lives to get here will take a lot of deterrence won`t they?
And is going Rwanda such a deterrent?
Apparently the refugees are going to get a great new chance at a fresh start there. At least that is what Johnson etc tell us
Oh
sounds really bad then.

Oh, and we are getting some of Rwanda`s existing refugees.*
“16.1 The Participants will make arrangements for the United Kingdom to resettle a portion of Rwanda’s most vulnerable refugees in the United Kingdom, recognising both Participants’ commitment towards providing better international protection for refugees.”
Probably not many though. Just the most vulnerable ones.

As I understand those refugees who do remain here won`t be the fit young men, who have a genuine fear of persecution, and who could become healthy workers paying their own way. Those will be sent away. The women and children, and elderly, who too have a genuine fear of persecution, will stay here.

I believe there has been no Parliamentary vote taken on any of this. It is all down to Patel.

Wise words, if and when the government can deliver on this and there are weekly full plane loads of illegal economic migrants going out to Rwanda the invasion will stop, although the bleeding heart liberals will not except this logic.

I’m unsure as to whether you just disagree for the sake of disagreement or whether you actually are some sort of spawn of the Islington liberal chattering classes., but we’ll save your above statement for posterity shall we? Unbloodybelievable! The next time some poor innocent is having their head hacked off in a tube station, market square or London hospital lets all celebrate the fact that those same fit young contributors to society are still here thanks to you and your ilk.
