Long since gave up on the idea of on street parking being available on demand anywhere usually need to look for proper car parks.
Just more reason why the best EV will be a heavy van with sufficient battery capacity and range to fill up in the usual way at proper charging stations or at home.
New on-street ev chargers just put in by Plymouth council that retract back into the pavement when not in use. 
I see a trip hazard just waiting for a “where there’s blame there’s a claim” chancer to come along, no doubt just co-incidentally captured on someone’s smart device as “evidence”.

By beloved City! Didn’t know anything about this as is probably the same with all us working class Janners (Plymouthian’s) who are all getting to and from their work in vehicles with an internal combustion engine, it’s only a few middle class types running about in electrics down here as long as they don’t have to venture to far from their home based charging whatnot!
