by your calculation of 2023 costs using 2021 revenue the drinkers should of paid 30bn then to bad they only paid 12.106 million

Private insurance comes in many different forms, with many differing levels of care. I don
t know what you have/havent been quoted, but lots of insurance policies are there to guarantee your mortgage payments or provide income for your family, they are not there to pay for treatment.
They often cover acute treatment but not chronic treatment. (They will pay for a broken leg that is fixed after a few months, they won`t pay for years of cancer treatment)

It is complicated.The initial diagnosis of cancer in the UK seems to be a bit slow, but the treatment and expertise of the staff is good.
my claim was that if it is true they upped the tax on tobacco because of the cost why lower it on alcohol.
Its plain as a pike staff why they have done it for 2 very simple reasons.
- All the people in the bars will be happy that their pint or glass of what ever is cheaper and will think this gov isn’t too bad after all.
- They don’t want the cost of drinks at their orgies to go up.
As to your comment on the health insurance im giving it a strong coat of thinking about. After my experiences in the last 8 months and the amount of money i have had to pay out to get seen in a reasonable time frame and all the stupid suggestions i had from various bodies one of which was that i should rip out the current bathroom and put a disabled shower in and then when i was better put the old one back.
