X-ray ionising radiation container scanners at docks

Hi all,

I am looking for information about what technology is used to scan containers at port locations such as Felixstowe, Southampton and London Gateway docks.

I know that upon entry to the ports the containers are scanned as the driver drives through the entry points and also the exit points.

I would like to know if anyone has actual knowledge about the type of radiation these scanners use, and about the quantity of radiation absorbed by the driver during each occasion a container is scanned.

Thanks for any knowledge shared.
