Driven to Despair - Report on DVLA medical section

SteveBarnsleytrucker:
Did you read the bit in the forward where it says that the DVLA don’t accept the recommendations that they should provide justice to those affected by their failings?
[zb]s they are.

Hi there,l am new to this site. The Solicitors, Hospitals, doctors are bullet proof as you can see on trusted review sites because the ombudsman just close the case unless you have plenty of money and influence.
Anyhow here is my story.l worked for Biffa for 9 years. They sent me anywhere in Britain as an Adr Tanker driver. Not just Polish in layers.l have had my fair share.Driving till hours ran out.Anyway l had a prolapsed disc L5/S1,had time off then went back for a year then same disc prolapsed again but this time l didn’t recover after they switched Surgeons on me.I was told l will be disabled for the rest of my life and registered disabled.l surrendered my Class 1 license but didn’t put anything about medical reason as alot of people on this site say don’t unless your doctor tells you to.Well 7 years of hell with chronic backpack and sciatica is unbearable on Gabapentin, tramadol, morpine etc.
Even a Psychologist. So l arranged a video consultation with the best London, Harley St Spinal specialist who told me
that it was rubbish what l had been told and that l need and could have had a Spinal fusion with a cage and pedical screws but would take me a bit longer to get over it with been left for so long.

Now what happens if l do get over it.Am l still Disabled? and more to the question would l be able to get my Heavy goods back? or am l going to be capable of doing the job if they stop my benefits? I am now 54.
If anyone has had any experience like this could you please let me know. Thanks.
