Certainly is Harry. Thanks

You’ve been a bit quiet owd lad, how is Mrs Gill progressing??

Now look 'ere “H” if you played the game and behaved yourself and kept your motor nice a clean and tidy I’d put you on this fine Vehicle ( Once I’d stopped posing in it that is  ) I hope you are feeling better “H”, but we’ve got to keep you motivated and there’s nowt like a bit of banter eh! Cheers Dennis.

Hiya,
Dennis, I used to drive an earlier version F88 loved it but unfortunately it
was getting towards the end of it’s life and wasn’t very reliable it having
worked hard as a heavy hauler in double drive guise for Siddle C Cook in
it’s youth and being reduced to a four wheeled unit to lighten it so’s it
could return to general haulage as a 32 tonner, now on a different vein I
got the missus out of hospital today after having her second lot of breast
cancer surgery and the outcome is all cleared up and doing well, i’m now
awaiting results of chest xrays and have a doctors appointment tomorrow
thanks harry, long retired.

Well I’m sorry you have both been “under the weather “H” but here’s hoping you get the thumbs up tomorrow then it will be back to normal eh! with Mrs Gill giving you the full “hair dryer” treatment which I suppose you will richly deserve at times !! Don’t we all “H”,I get my fair share of bollockings of 'er that must obeyed at all times, probably more than my share :frowning:   but we’d be knacked without them keeping us straight, I’ll rephrase that “H” " keeping us right” Anyway all the best for to-morrow mate. Regards Dennis.

Good news about Mrs Gill, hope you get similar good news today AND THEN…back on the malt and chasing the lovely Mrs Gill round the bedroom. :open_mouth::smiley:

Hiya,
Thanks GOM, did get a clean bill of health as a result of the chest xray
but an appointment has been made to see yet another medical person
next Monday to see if the shortness of breath can be sorted, I won’t be
doing much galloping round the bedroom after the delectable Mrs Gill
if I can’t get my breath, but on the whole not feeling too bad if only on
light duties so that two tons of coal will have to bide in the street for
another week or so, you never know someone might just nick it while
my backs turned.
thanks harry, long retired.

Hiya,
No Kev still got my shovel (proper driver) it’s a shoveller I’m in need of.
thanks harry, long retired.

I’m sure you & Mrs G could wrap up that two tons of coal in an hour or so. Let her have the easy job on the shovel while you drive the wheelbarrow. After all, you’ve been training for it for a lifetime!

You’re forgetting that Dennis is a confirmed Gardner man, Jim- he wears that coat through force of habit! I’m just wondering if he ever discovered that Volvo fitted working heaters? :unamused:

H- glad you and your superior officer are both on the mend. If you haven’t shifted that coal yet I suggest you get the local scouts round for a Bob-a-Job day.

Now’t to do with heating Dennis, you would be sweating at the thought of twice as much fuel going through the pipes in the 88 compared to the old Gardner and still only the same amount of work done.
