Daf vs Daf

norb:
It was restored and is owned by Lothian DAF .I think DAF occasionally borrow it s it was at Thame for a while before they moved

Where’ve Daf moved to then? Been several years since I went to Thame.

Haddenham ,not that far from Thame

If you want the experience of driving a daf 3300 then drive an iveco eurocargo 18t rigid…no A/C, no electric mirrors, flat dash that you have to have an 8 foot reach to operate the buttons, a seat like 2 ironing boards rigged together and the general feel of something out of the 80s. We had daf CF space cabs but the iveco is about £150 a week cheaper…and you can tell!

biggriffin:
who in there right thinking mind, would say “I’d rather drive a 3300, instead of that xf106”

Me.

After driving an XF106 all night last night, I’d gladly take the 3300 for it’s character, charm, and simplicity. I HATE modern lorries.
