Will DAF have a national database of their trucks as this one came from Adams Morey at Southampton and my local dealer is Hull. Suppose I could ask Moreys if its been done. Is a 2008 likely to have been a problem do you know?

Good luck with them bunch of plonkers at imperial! Had right issues with them “fixing” a wagon… Was taking it back weekly for 5/6 weeks with the same problem!!

My favourite bit of Bking nonsense, I can recall, is when someone posted a photo, like this, asking what the pipes going to the wheels are and he said they were oil feeds to the hubs. :unamused:

As I said “heavy diesels” have never used a waste gate turbo.
Waste gates are used on light pressure motors with spring biased “open” gates.
Love to see a 6 inch blower with “waste gate”
And I "suppose " the waste gate is biased shut?
So too much boost,broken actuator,blown donkey.
Broken actuator,no boost ,engine lives another day
