clampers

Truckyboy,
Thanks mate, just wondered. I have never had direct experience with clamping but never cease to be amazed that the law should back anyone doing such a thing. All this carry on about how much force you are allowed to prevent a burglary or to defend yourself - how come clamping is not seen as an act of violence, or criminal damage if someone tried to drive off unawares, or unlawful detention. Strewth the mind boggles that so much unreasonable power is given for such a minor event, and not even an illegal event. In fact it appears that only if you are committing an illegal act, ie. blocking an exit road, that you are protected from the clampers.
I have said it before, but an expensive but surely effective way is to carry your own clamps!

Salut, David.

i was talking to a driver who once had his truck clamped in watford gap… they put the clamp on the lift axle… you can guess what happened next. :exclamation:
