Cambridgeshire haulage firms

I worked for Cade Bros of Ramsey from 83 to 88. They ran Seddon Atkinsons and Mercedes trucks at the time.Good to work for but a little old fashioned compared to other local hauliers .

i have seen herbie kingham mentioned on here , in the 1970 s he bought my grandads david brown tractor to load sugar beet I was hoping some one had any memory of what happened to it, would love to find it , is herbie still around ?

ERFMarc:
There’s a cracking book called Fenland Produce Hauliers by Paul Fox.

Since I’ve moved out here thought it would be worth a look and it certainly was!

Where did you get the book from Marc? I’ve searched for it and come up with nothing.

Just remembered LV Berry, of gransden.

Run by Len berry and his best mate scruff the dog(unknown breed)

Back in August 1975 I had to leave my Mandator at Swansea late one Friday afternoon, with a u/s compressor. Log book out then to Sheffield and away, and finished up at Ross where a lad in a green F86 artic from Waterbeach stopped for me.He’d taken a load of hay into South Wales which was stricken with drought and going home empty via some relations at Tamworth. Would anybody on here know what the name of the company was ?
