It saddens me greatly to say that Peter Bowker passed away at the weekend.
I know many of you will remember him, or at least his companies and his lorries… Peter G Bowker Ltd, Leslie Trucking, Terbow Transport, Freelance Trading and Bridgnorth Transport Company (which is owned and run by his Son).
To steal the words of a fellow TNUK member, Peter was Boss, Mentor and Friend. He helped many many people forge their careers as HGV drivers and in his own way was one of the nicest people in Road Haulage.

Did you get in touch with Tony although he probably knows by now.
Was he your Uncle then Kate or are you using a term of endearment,either way you was obviously fond of him.

I believe a mutual friend was going to ring Tony early last week… We knew he wasn’t going to be with us for long which is why we thought of arranging a reunion, and that will probably still go ahead at some point…
I’m honoured and privileged to say he was indeed my Uncle, and I shall miss him dearly.
