Depression, anxiety, stress ect

Beebee:
… With the long hours when do drivers get to wind down, exercise. Someone who is suffering from depression & sits in a cab all week does not need to be told “pull yourself together” or any other type of derogatory remark, they need to find the cause & how to change the effect it’s having. Sadly, for some people their situation cannot be changed & life becomes about learning to cope.

A trucker’s job is tougher than citizens realize, and you spelled out some stuff above. (Here in the USA we call anybody who is not a driver a citizen :grimacing: ). One thing that used to bother me: my dr found a pain killer that would relax my back muscles (tension between the shoulder blades) and wipe out the depression at the same time. But I was not supposed to get behind the wheel while feeling OK. At the same time, there’s no telling how many little 4-wheelers are scooting around on prescription drugs! (I am assuming that Brits have to do drug screens like yanks do).
