Due to it going off line in 2011 all the valuable pictures and information were lost. So if anyone want to add pictures or info of Northwest Haulage companies please add them to this thread. Last edited by moomooland on Wed Apr 11, 2018 12:03 pm, edited 5 times in total.

A grumpy little sod who is tied to a desk and an oxygen bottle, its the beer bottle I miss most!
Re: Northwest TrucksSuperb site, though I think it may be even better if there was an abundance of quarry tippers, particularly Tarmac vehicles.
![]() ![]() Always on the lookout for khaki Tarmac tipper pics.
Know of any ? ![]()

Re: Northwest TrucksThere used to be a guy that lived opposite us (Chadderton) until the early 80's, Malcolm Taylor, run his own truck mainly out of Ireland (some tax reason) in Europe,
He's now in Oz, I am trying to get in contact with him.
Re: Northwest Trucks
Hi Paul great site there, I tried to buy an S type Foden from James Wilkinson around 2001 when I worked for McAlpine's, we had a depot at Atherton close to their yard. I have trolled through the site looking for any of John Ditchfield's lorries without success do you have any ? regards Big Al Lorries are like a vintage port wine, they get better with age.

Re: Northwest TrucksHi Paul, I,v found some old pics of Dow Freight , Puma transport and some others but i dont know how to post them?????????
Re: Northwest TrucksHI I've at last seen a picture of John Killingbeck, Its the one sitting by the heater dose anyone have a better shot of him please.
Next Question HOW many hours did he spend in his garage,???I should think there was no need for security, He must of been there all the time, I take my hat of to him. Did he have many people working with him in the workshop. Well done with the Northwest Truck site John
Re: Northwest Trucks
John used to work quite late into the evening, but he didn't start until mid-morning. From memory, I think he had a couple of fitters working with him, and they were capable of undertaking quite major rebuilds and modifications.
