Keeping Fit

Trucking isn’t like it used to be and now with tautliners, power steering and automatic gear boxes it’s very difficult to stay as fit as old time drivers. :unamused:

To counteract this problem you might like to try these simple excercises I came across the other week. To save buying expensive equipment you can use anything that comes to hand such as potato sacks.

Start off easy with say two 5 lb potato sacks stand up straight and holding a sack in each hand raise your arms until they are at shoulder level. Hold this position as long as possible up to a maximum of one minute.
Try this say 5 times a day 3 or four days a week.

Once you can hold your arms out straight for the minute graduate up to 10lb potato sacks.

If you stick at it long enough you will find that you can do this with 56lb potato sacks.

It’s at this stage that I suggest you try putting a couple of potatoes in the sacks. :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:
