Do any of the older drivers remember the Red House Transport Cafe on the old A1 (now the A638) Ive found out that it was known before that as the Aero Cafe.The owner had a Supermarine sea plane(Winner of the Schneider Trophy) on the grounds and he used to charge 1 shilling to have a photo taken in the cockpit,this is how it got the name Aero Cafe. Is this correct or was it the newer cafe( Jeremy Clarksons old workplace) a little further on nearer the Red House roundabout,both closed in the early 70s.
