I do feel sorry for you though - having an instructor called ROGER
Naaaah, it’s great!! The only teeny tiny problem is that as a lifelong ‘jet jockey’, I am essentially brainwashed. I cannot seeem to break the habit of answering instructions communicated to me with the word ‘Roger’. As in " Roger, Denver. Eastern 642 cleared to land". etc. etc.
This has resulted in a few ‘Who’s on first’ type moments in the lorry cab.
Roger: “Driver; I would like you to take the next left turning after the traffic lights, please.”
Me: “Roger”.
Roger: “What?”.
Me “Huh?”
And so on…
