The reason you needed the asterisks is that you were trying to get a banned word past the auto censor, the asterisks don’t suddenly make the word acceptable. 
The word “■■■■■■■■” isn’t banned though, so a try of the ‘preview’ feature might help!
There’s a clue in the title… “auto censor” means it’s… err… automatic, so it doesn’t need any help thanks. :
