Talking sense from the driver's seat

I really feel left out these days as I seem to be only one who has enjoyed every day and been given a great career by being a professional driver. Hence you won’t find any videos of me whinging

I do have to agree with Luke, I have been in this career since 1989 as a owner driver, employed driver and on agency and loved it. Sorry Robroy but you do seem to moan for Britain, if you don’t like it change jobs. I am afraid no one owes you a living! As you said before you are a ex haulier so you should know how hard it is to make lorries pay. So come on cheer up and get on with it.

Ok mate,… So have another read of my last post on this, and stop at the bit that says…‘‘I’ve managed to get a good little number that suits me’’. :bulb: .
So why would I change jobs?..and I’m cheered up enough thanks.

I was speaking generally about the crap state of the industry, and agreeing with the guy in the vid who said how the job had deteriorated over the years in terms of pay, and t.s and c.s…rather than ‘‘moaning for England’’ but cheers anyway.

It’s always been hard to make trucks pay, got the t.shirt on that one mate, but that does not necessarily mean that drivers should be treated like kids, aka my main gripe with this job.

(Oh, and thanks for telling me ‘‘nobody owes me a living’’…I’ll write it down so I remember.)

Of course there has been good times in the job for me, I’ve done most aspects of it since 79,.and travelled all over UK and Europe, but that was my point, it ain’t the job it once was.

And the 2020 award for most patronising post goes to…‘Elsa lad.’'. :unamused:
