Value of Merc 1644 V8

After a bit of advise - what value would you put on this Mercedes 1644 V8?

It was brought new in 1989 (I think) by Haldex and was used as a test truck from then. For the last 5 years or so it was retired from testing and has been used to move trailers about the yard.

It is registered, but as it was not being used on the road, the number plates were removed.

That looks very tidy, they bring very strong money these old mercs, its rare to see one in the uk as most got exported to warmer countries.

Imagine you will have loads of people after it and you would get 15k + , stick it on ebay and get a bidding war!

That roll cage would have cost a few bob! What was being tested and where?

That is a rare species indeed, cant imagine it has had a hard life either.
Really good truck back in the day.

If it’s not a rude question, why do you want it?

Anti lock brakes etc, they also had a F12, the bunk area was full of recording equipment. They used the F12 with a tank trailer equipped with stabilisers round M.I.R.A at Nuneaton.
Never saw the Merc there though.

Is this being sold off then? See it around on site often. Have driven their old fh12 on the track there, left hand drive also with a roll cage, cracking motor
